Prayer

One of the main messages revealed in the Passion Translation is that God loves you very much and He wants a close, intimate relationship with you! But there is a big barrier in the way of your relationship with God. The Bible states that we have all sinned and are in need of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 TPT). And it’s not just our sins that keep us out of relationship with God, but the fact that we were born into sin (Romans 5:12 TPT). We have a fallen nature that cannot fellowship with God.

But God had a plan. John 3:16 reveals this radical plan. “For this is how much God loved the world – he gave his uniquely conceived Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” This plan is further detailed in Romans which outlines that “if you believe with your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and publicly confess with your mouth that he is Lord, you will be saved. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God-and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation” (10:9-10 TPT).

By believing in what Jesus accomplished on the cross, and receiving it with thankfulness, you become a new creation. You are brought into perfect fellowship and relationship with God. You become a Son or a Daughter, and God becomes your Father (John 1:12 TPT). Would you like to begin that relationship with him now? You can with just a simple prayer.

Pray this out loud with your heart:

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washed me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and my Savior, now and forever. I believe You rose from the dead and that You are alive today. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with Your peace and joy. Amen.
